I find Wix to be a really straight forward platform when you look into the different tools offered. I also had a bit of an easier time as I have used Wix before and already had this website created for my persuasion class.
Though already having a website created allowed me to have more experience, I also found this to be a bit of a struggle as there were many changes to be made to my page.
I think I have a lot of room for improvement in terms of my professional presence. I had a really difficult time finding pictures that I feel fit the professional appearance I am going for and had to use the only head shot I have taken before as my main picture throughout the website.
When thinking about my best experience with leadership, I would have to pick my one team lead, what we call managers at target. She recently got promoted from being a regular team lead into an executive team lead and has been doing an amazing job with everything. I think what I really respect about her, compared to my other leadership, is the way she takes the time to teach us things and improve each of us at work. She also just takes the time each day to ask us how we are doing and to keep us informed about the happenings at work which really goes a long way compared to other leaders.
When thinking about events I have been to that I found to be managed poorly, I remember an event I went to very recently. It was a renaissance faire like event at a local brewery that was much busier than it seemed they expected. We had to park in the grass after driving over a curb because their parking spots were all full and the event itself was packed as well. Though they had event staff guiding us into the lot and onto the curb with a small ramp, it was an unfamiliar experience I had been able to prepare for which I really didn't enjoy. Their post on Facebook had a very high number of people marked as attending but it seems they still had not planned for it properly. If anything they could have changed it to a ticketed event to decrease and control the amount of people attending but there are many ways they could have improved the event.
I do not have any specific questions about the ePortfolio project besides wanting suggestions for improvement and just knowing where this project will take me in general. Obviously that second question will be answered as time moves along and I see the different ways this project transforms.
