For my nonverbal communication class I have been asked to curate my existing ePortfolio which consisted of making quite a few changes to what I already had. As seen in my other blog post I chose to follow the mobile optimization option which is making my ePortfolio formatted correctly when viewed on the mobile version of Wix. I chose to do this option out of all of them because I had seen the mistakes in the formatting of my page when I looked on mobile view and wanted to solve them. The other options that were given didn’t seem like they would provide much for my ePortfolio as I have already done most of the activities. My resume and the writing I included on this page has already been reviewed by others and I already have a post of some of the work I have done focusing on the communications field.
When looking at the steps I took for curating my ePortfolio, I actually did a lot more than I was expecting. I already had all the required tabs and had recently updated my Wix page, as I wanted to include an up to date version on my resume. I first started by changing how my home page looked to make it more clear and I much prefer the setup I have now than I did before. Then I moved on to making my resume page look a bit nicer, though I didn't change much there. For my about page I just had to include a personal focused paragraph because I already had one focused on the professional side. Next I added material to my course projects page, first the place holder for the future project in my nonverbal communication class, then I added some previous papers I have done for other classes as other course projects. The final thing I had to change was including my contact information in a place other than on my resume. I finished up my curation by making everything match by adding a pink theme to the page which I really enjoy. Overall I am much happier with how my blog page looks now compared to what it was before. I don’t see anything additional that I will be needing to change but I am open to constructive criticism.
